Abstract
The influence of heat transfer conditions on the characteristics of the oil flow consumption in the oil pipe was regarded. A problem dealing with the flow of some model liquid having nonmonotonous dependence of the temperature on viscosity which is typical of the kinds of Timan-Pechora and Kazakhstan oils. The paper is dedicated to the research of the oil consumption changes depending on the heat transfer conditions on the tube surface at the determined pressure drops. The mathematical model includes the equation of the motion for viscous fluid with variable parameters, the continuity equation and the energy equation. The numerical research was made using the developed computer code. The maximum oil consumption in a determined range of the alteration of the Nusselt number was established.
